R3 reflash AWESOME
Just a heads up for some of you who are considering a reflash....it was the best money I have spent so far. I know that it isn't for everybody. I am not a wrencher and I just want easy, basic mods since I am under warranty. I bought a used ecu with the R3 reflash already done and it took every bit of a couple minutes. The acceleration is amazing.....night and day difference. I can't get over the improvement on the low and mid range. It hauls. I also gained right at 2 mph on top speed.
I get some cavitation with the hole shot. Also, my rpms are just around 7500 at WOT. I have the Solas 13/22r prop. Any ideas as to what prop or repitch I need to eliminate my cavitation and get my rpms up?
The R3 reflash is better than I hoped for!

I put my stock ride plate back on because I didn't want too many variables. There were 25 mph winds when I was out yesterday, but the best I could do without the r3 reflash was 68.3 (after an hour of testing). While on the water, I swapped out computers and I was able to hit 70.1 within minutes. The weather was bad. The HUGE difference was the low and midrange. A buddy of mine was almost the same as me when we punch it and ride for a minute....I bet that I would pull the crap out of him until top speed now and then slowly pull away.
The weather was bad and as I said, my rpms at WOT stayed around 7500 and I have been told that they need to be at least 8000-8400.
I hope that with good weather, a better prop or repitch and Jim's plate I can consistently hit over 75mph. We will see.

I sent my ecu out for the R2 reflash and feel like a little kid waiting for Santa Claus.

From what I have seen on here, you may gain a little more on the top end than I did. It pulls so much harder. You will love it.

I can't wait. I also have a riva powercooler that I will putting in as well. I figure it will help with heat soak and improve a little as well. I'm in tampa and it gets like 95 plus during the height of skiing.

the reflashes are a excellent upgrade.
you want/need to check your AFR.
guys running a reflash with a stock wheel and ic. usually get about 8100 rpms.
most people prefer a skat prop over a solas.
i have a 13/19 skat for sale that was recently repitched by impros.

Ditch that prop an go back to your stocker. Have the leading edge opened up to between a 14 or 15 and you'll be set. The stock prop will give you even better speed.
