FZS Riva Stage 3 Ride Plate

Two years ago when I was modifyed my FZS to Stage 3, Riva's ride plate wasn't available so I bought R&D's. After many tryies with 1 washer or 2 or no, I was having the same result. After 72mph the ski wanted to throw me off. Since then because I haven't time to work on my ski am running 79mph with the stock plate. I saw some people in this forum running over 80mph with R&D ride plate and I have mine siting in my garage. I have plenty of time now and I wonder If can someone help me with this problem.

    Thanks!

    Tasos

That really sounds like a intake issue not ride plate issue. Many of us are running well into the 80's with R&D ride plate. What kinda intake grate are you running. I recommend the R&D intake grate.

Everything else are Riva. Intake grate (the first one not the SS), 15/23 160mm impeller with wear ring and exit nozle with 83mm ring.

Switch to a R&D intake grate with there plug kit. I hope you know that the early Riva grates have been known to brake off.

Thats correct. I had a mate of mine come off at 80mph today from an old riva gate...... not cool.

R&D intake gate and ride plate are the best combo that ive used...

Yes I know that. Riva informed me first but I didn't change it. So you are saying that the R&D grate is better than Riva's SS new grate.

I have no data as to which is better the R&D or the riva SS. I jusk know that most everyone on the forum prefers the R&D.

+1 The R&D grate has been successfully tested well into the 90's... If it isn't broke don't fix it, Julio...
