08 gp1300r what mods..jims plate vs riva etc.
New to the forum with a 6hr gp1300r wanting to do some simple mods. Before you say it I've used the search function a great deal but the problem is I have no clue what some of the mods thats talked about is or how to actually do the mod such as sealing the pump shoe, and the pump tunnel deal is there any how to on these with pics?
Anyway as far as simple mods from what I've read this is my 1st few thoughts on mods.
ride plate- jims or rivas? which is better or should I just shim my stock one? (this gives better top end)
1200 intake grate for bottom end increase.
with just those should I be able to hit 70? I will be riding a lot with some 215hp rxp's so wanting to atleast hang even with them.

http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/foru...ow-To-amp-FAQs and/or use the advanced search function and keep looking and reading...
no, you will not hit 70 with just a plate and grate...
safety> grate/tunnel reinforcement (as mentioned before)
seal shoe> prevents cavitation
what is your goal, plan???
Plate> Jims FF or IR mod4...

I think we all wish 70mph was attainable at such a cheap price!
