Exclamation Snow damage at the Ozarks

These are pics of what snow and a dock w/ a lot of surface area look like...it snowed last night and we woke up to about 14". you don't know how much you hate snow till you have to shovel it and your ski is submerged or crushed!

First four are condos...look carefully at all the docks.

Looks like one of docks wasn't built to handle the snow. How many boats/skis got crushed? Where is this?

don't know how many have been crushed but docks are sinking all over even private smaller docks. This is in lake of the Ozarks mo......I would guess thousands and thousands, not kidding at all its creepy looking.

Don't you guys get snow every year? How come they aren't built to handle the load of the snow?

if we get snow we might get about 2-4 inches if were really unlucky about 5-6 but very rarely, but otherwise we never even get any.

I spent 1/2 the day helping friends blow snow off their docks, bad deal.
The problem is that were we are located (Lake of the Ozarks) Missouri, when people in our area build things like homes-docks-anything, they dont do it correctly and then things like this happen. The building codes in our area are very weak, almost anything goes. Where this happened at is a very rule area, this type of problem could have been avoided by special building codes. On the other side of the lake is even worse, these backwood butchers come in and build homes on very steep lake side terrain and dont have to worry about building codes but they get the same amount of $$ for them as a home that was built 20 30 miles down the lake in a better community (where RXPrider and myself live) which has codes to protect home buyers, RXPrider should know, I think his father is a realestate agent. Hopefully this can be fixed, Jeff Green would be the perfect person to get some better building codes on this lake so this doesnt happen again. Lake of the Ozarks is about 3 hrs away from St. Louis, there are thousands of people that live in St. Louis that laugh their ass off about how poorly the Ozarks is ran and operated, there is a saying here "dont get Ozarked" and thats why these docks are like they are, someone overlooked something
