    Question XLT vs GPR Driveshaft

Are the XLT and GPR driveshafts the same length? If different, what is the difference?

    Thanks!

Look at the oem parts listing at the riva sight and see if they are the same part numbers. If they are then there is no difference.

... and you would be wrong (sorry)

    they are identical

in 2002 both skis used the shorter driveshaft

so if you have a 2002 you have / need the shorter driveshaft - all other years use the same driveshaft

in 2003 the GPR added the 2 inch pump extension - this extra 2 inches was achieved by changing the location of the splines inside the intermediate shaft and by also going back and using the original longer driveshaft - so from 2002 on the GPR used this different intermediate shaft (the 2002 XL also uses this different intermediate shaft)

so there are 2 length driveshafts - the short one used on 2002 GPRs and XLs

there are 2 different intermediates - the new one has been used on all GPRs since 2002 and was only used on 2002 XLs
