Question about Service Bulletin For red/purple from CDI to Orange Terminal

I just replaced my LR-505 (Have not tested yet) on my 2002 Virage TX and figured I would do the service bulletin that affects hot starts at the same time. I had read that this should not be needed after the 2000 models, but I seem to be having the hot start issue. What I found on my ski is that the red/purple and orange jumper wire is in place and plugged into the orange terminals on the board. However, the red/purple end of this jumper with the female bullet connector is not plugged to anything. The red/purple from the CDI is still connected to the red/purple Y. I got this ski used so I wonder if this was an incomplete repair, or because it is a 2002 does it not need to be done, but why would the jumper be there? Should I dissconnect ther res/purple from the Y and connect it to the jumper? I could not figure out how to make the pic bigger, but hopefully you see the jumper and the Y connection to the right.
