wave venture sat for 1 month, now won't start

Wave Venture 700 won't start. It sat for 1 month. Has new plugs. Battery is good and fully charged. Compression is fine. Do you think the gas went bad after just one month?

not typically.. Have you tryed to prime it? old sea foam spray oil works well for this..(use only the old cans as the new stuff is a different formula).. pull a wire, ground a new plug and check for spark..
its possible the fuel system has drained back and needs a bit of prime..the spark thing is just a check...its also possible your kill switch is bad.. check it for continuity open and closed..

How exactly do I prime it? I will also check and make sure it's getting spark. I doubt the kill switch is bad because it's still cranking the engine over.

venture may have a bung plug you can remove to facilitate priming its usually between the two carbs..
true on the starter end ,but should also be a compleater circut for ignition tied into it also..

ok both plugs are getting spark. I tried filling one of the carb hoses with fuel to prime it, but no results. I can't figure out how to turn on the gauges, do they have to be on in order for the ski to start?

At this point I'm thinking the carbs are clogged and need to be cleaned.

it just seems that the gas or the plugs have something to do with it, since it started up before I did those two things. Maybe I am getting weak spark from the plugs?

If your careful enough, you can pour a little gas down the carbs and see if it runs a little bit before the gas runs out. that can kinda tell you if everything else is working ok. Then you'd know for sure its a fuel/carb problem. BUT you have to be careful doing this!!! I'd think a small capful (off a 2 liter bottle of pop) would be more then enough for a quick test.

eh...I don't even really feel comfortable recommending that. Do that at your own risk.

Maybe I got bad spark plugs from the dealer? The spark seems kind of weak. Then again, I never saw the spark with the old plugs (which looked like they had never been changed)
