    2011 RXP-X Carbon Seal

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, and I have a preventive question. I just bought a new 2011 RXP-X, and the main use for the bike is to jump waves, higher each time. I have heard that the sea doo´s have a problem with the carbon seal, and that when it breaks, the bike sinks. I bought a Les Cooke replacement for the carbon seal, and we I received it, I found out that it didn´t fit my bike. Apparently, that part of the bike was redesigned around 2009. My question is if the new design doesn´t need replacement? Will it break under jumping conditions? Is there a part manufactured for my bike? I found diagrams for each year showing the difference.

Any insight on the matter will be highly appreciated, since I would hate for my new toy to end under the sea.
    Regards.

OEM seal is by far the most reliable, the ones that tend to sink are the aftermarket seals.

Thanks. How often should I replace the carbon seal? Every 50 hours?

I just did mine at 120 hours. There seemed to be no cracks, but just a preventative measure.
