Kinda Like a rag, more like a Builders GLOVE...

Got a Riva Stage kit off Jerry, was doing all my bits and pieces when the Air intake filter looked pretty bad so decided to take it out and make up a ppiece for the side from some plastic had in the shed, had other stuff to be spending the $100 bucks on for the kit.

Put the plstic disc on to deal up the side of the manifold, tested on the house at the house, all seems well.

Take her out on the river, bit of throttle and pop..... Not yet to my knowledge the side piece had blown off the side of the maifold.

Pulled the cord and tried to restart, very slow in starting and when did full open throttle from wrong side so all f**cked up trying to get it in. Eventually discover the piece is off so back to the drawing board at the house.

Thinking to myself was it not starting cause it was getting too much air in the missing side of the manifold, if I hold a builders glove over it to seal it, just out of curiousity, will it start first time????

So hold the glove over side thinking I'd have positive pressure from the SC, cracnk the engine and whoooooosh, glove gone and banana revs, pull cord, engine cuts...... Now I do admit I have half an idea whats going on most of the time and this prob not the best idea in the world!!!!

Anyways, thought it would be fine as didn't go in too far. Pulled the manifold and here's what we have...

The finger actually went all the way in and was stuck in the valve, pulled the plugs and turnded shaft underneath to eventually free it up.

Ski running ok on hose, texting this weekend.... We learn something new everyday....
