    Ultra 300x fuel requirements?

O.K. I have read where kawasaki says these ski`s must run on premium unleaded! so what is Premium unleaded??
In california isnt 91 the highest octane available? I know here in NC you can get 93 octane,, so what is kawasaki saying the minium octane is that can be safely used in the 300x.
There are several gas stations here like petro express that sell 100 octane unleaded all the time.

It really dont make any since that kawasaki would make the ECO mode 95 octane does it?i mean if the ski runs safely in performace mode on 90 why in the world would they design a map that requires 95 for eco...i would think you could run half 93 half 100 in performane and get the same results as running in ECO.I have a pontiac vibe(toyota matrix) if i run 89 octane it usually gets 31-32 mpg if i run premium it usually gets 34-35....reason i know this is i run the same route everyday and always get fuel from the same station......ECO may turn out to be useless for most people..

I am guessing its because it is running very lean in eco mode to save fuel, thus higher chance of detonation, thus requires higher octane fuel to be safe. Yes it sounds useless to me. But a marketing ploy it is. They dont advertise the 95 octane requirement, just kinda sneak it in the middle of the owners manual.
There should be a big fat sticker informing the consumer about that requirement.
