Octane Boost needed at the lake. Anyone using or recommending a brand?

I run 91 premium for my 300x when en-route to the water. But once there, the lakes only offer 89 octane. So a boost is needed and I'm wondering if anyone else is using something that actually works? I read this a whiile ago but still wonder what others are using:

I have the same problem where I am. I bought a 54 gallon drum of vp race fuel I don't trust anything in a can. I put a couple gallons in when I fill up and carry 2.5G with me when I ride. That works for me, but it can get expensive. When your burning a full tank of race fuel nothing beats the smell.

I have used Lucas Oil Octane Booster w/ 89 octane in my 260x and it seemed ok. I wouldn't keep the thing pinned tho. But for general recreation riding I am sure you will be ok. It's a little pricey compared to other octane boosters. But a new 300x engine would be pretty pricey too!

    Thanks dhoad and Edify.
That's the route I'm going after much research. Thank everyone for the input! Now I just need to find it locally. Online shipping is as much as the product itself. Ugh. Paint stores will not sell it to me, since I might decide to make Meth with it to supplement my income, because of the extra fuel needed by my 300x.

You can just purchase some unleaded racing gas and add a splash of that. Just keep it in the storage bucket of the 300x Where are you riding?

Here is a good octane chart to figure out how much high and low octane you need to get to the octane you need.

I use TrackTek TT111L from Chevron Phillips. Try All Point Petrolium in Benicia, CA., 707-745-1118. In Texas it runs around $7 a gallon.

That is leaded I would not run leaded fuel in a 300x. You can do a 4-1 mix to get 91 octane. 4 gallons of 89 octane to 1 gallon of 100 unleaded octane.
