    "2007 SEADOO RXP" Project Resurrection

So as some of you may know from THIS THREAD that I just bought 2007 RXP

I bought it from Insurance auction with "Unknown engine damage" but the price was very good.

I just picked up and will be sharing here with you the repair process

Hooked up the battery and ski shows 47 hrs

SC is off and in a very poor shape due to the ALU oxidation
Same goes for the Throttle body

This looks like water damage and quite possibly salt water.

I'm guessing engine might be needing some love.

Anyone knows a good way to clean aluminum?
I'm gonna try to save TB

    Thx

    Greg

    WOW!!!!!

That thing is in bad shape, looks like it was sunk and left underwater for a while. I hope you got a really good deal on it because you will very likely have to replace everything in that motor.might be able to salvage the block and head but the rest of the assembly needs to be looked at real closely.

I did and I dont think it was sunk

Everything looks fine. I think it just sucked in some water

If it was me I would pull the motor apart and inspect and go over everything, make sure the valves on the head aren't corroded and other parts etc.

With this project you will learn alot about the RXP. And you have come to the right forum with plenty of people here to help you out with lots of experience.

    I am pulling the motor.

Is there anything I should know about pulling these so I dont have "I wish I knew that before" moments
