HELP - 09 RXTX Riva I/C Relocation Kit vs VTS
Hello, thanks to the help of a fellow G.H. Friend (Jared) I finally started putting my 09 RXTX Back Together last night. We ran into a bit of an issue with the Riva I/C Relocation Kit and the VTS as they seem to be hitting each other.
We played around with the IC and the Riva Bracket and as far as we can tell they are both sitting the right way. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks G. H. for all the help and information!!!

If its the GEN1 bracket you need the XS Style intercooler for it. Then use the pipes to make the angle right

the clearance issue should be no diff on the RXPX model, they both have VTS, this is really weird, same kit too

mine did this aswell, just take the ic off and with your hand push the relocation bracket to the rear of the ski. Yes it will feel like you are bending the bracket. Do it a couple little tweeks to get it right. Re-install and check pipe positions each time.

You could also remove the VTS locating pin and rotate the housing.

there is a tab looking to the rear of the mount.must make sure that the I/C clears the tab going back. The hoses you put on before the installation is a tight fit

Thanks everyone for the help and assistance!!!!
Water4fire - I will try that.
Beerdart - We did that, rotated the VTS to the point where it hit the least, that is where I left it.
icecold - I will check. You are not kidding about it being a tight fit....it took 2 of us and we still barely got the straps to fit!

The IC bracket needs some trimming:
I also had to trim the top of the bracket to clear where the VTS mounts thru the hull. I provides a little wiggle room so that you can fit the boost tubes with very little interferance with the VTS.
I replaced the 2 bolts that mount the IC bracket with 2 slightly longer ss bolts, and torqued to specs.....if I remember correctly, its 23 ft/lbs.
