    Question regarding topsvalve

If you forget to connect the topsvalve to the electric system on a '04 engine and you start the engine up,will that cause oil to get in the exhaust manifold ?
I have rebuilt my head with new valves, valeseals, rotax oiljet, new gaskets ect,and I think I got everything back together the right way,but i have oil in the exhaust manifold and in the intercooler,it could be from when I did the rebuild,it is not much, maybe a ouce or 2,or maybe the turbo is bad,but it is new, dont think I over filled it eighter.
I have not had it in the water yet, just on the hose, and it is smoking blue big time

    Any thoughts???Thanks

Btw.The ski ran great before and had never had a failure, but the engine did sit for 1,5 year,it had oil in it,and i did turn it by hand over that time.
