Whats this pipe for on the oil tank ????

    Hi,

Can anyone please tell me the purpose of this pipe on the 2 stroke oil tank?

All it seems to do is join one end of the tank back to the other. Its not a sight tube either, thats on top.

I cant think of any reason for it and it's driving me mad trying to figure it out, maybe they had a couple of spare outlets on the tank so just decided to join them up...!

    Thanks,

    Anthony

Not for sure what that tank came off of but some tanks sat over a runner so it was like 2 tanks on the bottom so they put a hose on the two bottom halves of the tanks or tank to equalize the oil level in the tank. your tank may not be that way but that would be my best guess.

Its a '95 Waverunner III 701, all just one big tank, but I am sure it is there for a reason...
