    charging battery

    are ya supposed to take off the little cell caps when charging battery? i noticed this a.m after charging it was wet around the caps.

    If I have the battery out of the ski I will pull the caps, check the water level and test each cell with my hydrometer. If I'm charging it in the ski I don't. Not supposed to charge them at a high rate anyway but, I don't want the gasses venting straight into my hull. That's just my way of doing it and have never had a problem.
