???? For Niles about IC plumbing
I saw a few pics of a boat that was one of yours I think.
The IC was mounted sideways with the shortest plumbing pipe I have seen.
Do you sell this kit and is there a bracket holding the IC??
It looks way less restrictive than the one I have now.
How does it compare to the other plumbing kits out there?
Does anyone else make plumbing kits that we do not hear about from day to day to use with the RR IC???

Thay is the first RR IC That I installed.
I have not seen Marks plumming or glens.
I don't think the tubing being a little longer will cause any more lag.
The RR IC is a very nice cooler. The only thing I don't like about it is
the small inlet.

I have not seen Marks but Glens has way more bends.
Just a glance looks like you have about 90 degrees of total bend.
Glens has maybe 180 degrees. Your set up also looks to be around 12" shorter overall.
Did you have a bracket or was the cooler just sitting in there?

That is a bunch longer. I did not make a braket. It was wedged in realy
tight. If I did it again I would make a mounting braket

My thought was to use a Riva Bracket and mod it.
GP said he does not see a gain but others I have talked to said that his prototype was closer and had gains of 100-150 rpms over the current set up.
Niles aren't you doing a new IC??
Can you say anything about it??
I just think less distance with less radius= more volume and boost
Another winter time project I suppose???

This is Marks setup...It actually comes in a few different finishes as well... Keep in mind the GTX setup is alot different than the RXP setup...I think I have more funky bends in mine..

Here is Marks plumbing kit in my ski
You will find that the closer you get the intercooler to the engine the tighter the radius will need to be on the bends in the pipes. So with that said, closer is not always better.

I will get some pics of the PPG set up to compare but they are close.
Niles kit is shorter and about 1/2 less bends

The IC I am using is the same core as Riva is using. It is a Vortec core.
I have been using it for almost 3 years. I am very happy with its performance. There is close to a 100 deg drop with this cooler. I have
dataloged it several times.
Out side air temp 73 deg
water temp 70 deg
IC inlet temp 195 deg
IC outlet temp 95 deg

Did you ever do the same test with the RR unit?
