1997 Seadoo speedster overheating?
My Brother in law bought a 97 seadoo speedster last fall. Both motors started fine ,idled smoothly ,and reved up fine.Boat is real clean inside and out ,but he did not water test it.Boat was run in salt water but the owner says he flushed everytime he went out.The motors and pumps look nice and clean so we believed him.We finally took the boat out and the right motor seems to overheat, and won't start or idle very good in the water. We plan on going through the carbs first off.The bought appears to have some cooling hose routing modifications.the exhaust pipes have some holes that are plugged and puttied overthat seep water.Any suggestions or ideais before we tear into into this thing,or does any one have a good pic of the cooling line routing.Thanks...email@example.com BTW did a compression test, all four cylinders were between 138 and 142 lbs.
