What is the diff in the engines that gives the ho 160hp and the vx 110?

This for one
compression and timing
Ignition Timing 31° BTDC/Compression Ratio 11.9:1
Ignition Timing 35° BTDC/Compression Ratio 11.4:1
Same Bore & stroke on both motors
Bore/Stroke 76 x 58mm

cams are way diff on both,we install 140 topend on vx and could not get to run right ,took one look at cam BIG diff install old cam ran like top,could not install 140 bottom end diff casting would not fit reduction gear

The VX runs 2000rpm less (max rpm is 8000 verses 10,000 in FX) than the FX .... single throttle body verses 4 throttle bodies on the FX.
Strange the reduction drive case is different especially as they run the same reduction of 1.48:1. Maybe the hull "V" is flatter in the VX necessitating a different casting ?
