94 750 sl takes a long time to get up and go

Hi to all hope you can help me. I have a 94 750 sl I took it to the lake about a week ago it seems to run fine but when you go to take off it has no power like it take a long time to get going. It is slow on take off and takes about 100 or so feet to get some speed. It only goes about 25 30 in the water at full throttle. I replaced the jet pump last year with a good looking used one the checked out having a good gap.

    Welcome to the Hulk.

What impeller is on the pump you installed?

Have you done any of the fuel system upgrades?

The impeller is a polairs one the number is 513079 just like the one i took off the ski. The one I took off to replace the gap was just about at the extreme limit according to the book i have. The only thing that was done to the fuel was new hoses. I was thinking that it wasn't getting enough gas to the carbs but i don't know. Do you know how much gas psi or if that don't matter on a jetski.

OK, that is the correct impeller for that ski.

Carb rebuild after all these years is importatnt. As well as the fuel selector valve and fuel pumps. Just due to age alone they need to be addressed.

Do you still have the auto cock installed on the ski? That is supposed to be removed per Polaris bulletin.

Do not use an electric fuel pump.

The upgrade Fuji triple outlet pump has plenty of fuel pressure, is reliable and not expensive.

And it will be safe. Electric fuel pumps are not a good idea on these engines.

I've did the work on the my jet ski it works better but it still not work the way it should. I was talking to a friend about it and said that he had the same thing happened to his and he said that the cdi box was bad.

Does anybody know how to test the cdi?

    Did what work?

Have the carburetors been taken apart, internally cleaned and rebuilt?

    New fuel lines?
Including the hoses inside the fuel tank?

    Correct spark plugs?

Have you looked through the info in my signature links?
Especially the new to you section, and the Fuji engine section.
