Question Need Help With Riva Stage I Install

I have decided to attempt the install myself and save the $200+ dollars my dealer wants but I have some questions:

    a. What specialty tools do I need? Looks like I need a SD & Solas impeller tool.

    b. Do I use blue Loctite on the intake grate bolts?

    c. What are the torque specs on the pump bolts, impeller & anything else that's critical?

    Thanks in advance,

I actually purchased one from eBay but it's a edited version compressed into a PDF file. It's not bad but the pics are poor quality. I only pd abt $12 for it but I figured it was better than nothing.

What do you have to offer?

    Hey flyin
    I provide a tip
when mounting the riva air intake, bolt the front bracket as described in Instructions but, dont worry about bolting the air tube to the bracket instead find some heavey duty zip ties and zip tie it to the bracket. if you should ever need access to your SC you can then just rotate the air tube, once unhooked from the SC, out of the way for SC removal.

yes blue loctite on the threads and a little silicone at the head

    Have fun!

    A. Need an impeller tool, a 12mm allen(hard to find local here, ended up having it at sears) and vise grip. I did it w/o a bench vise , and it took a lot of cursing and hitting the allen with a hammer. Nothing broke, and it all worked, but I will be purchasing a bnch vise.

    B. I used red loctite on the grate. Simplest part to install.

    C. Tight. Ha! I just tighten things up till I feel secure. Anything with loctite, tighten till its snug. Pump to hull, tighten till you can't move it(I did)

It's an easy process. These Skis are simple to work on, very simple. Just take your time and follow the steps. I installed my ring/prop/grate/wedge in one day with many breaks of up to 2 hours(when i put the ring in the freezer)
