    97 GP1200 Wear Ring

    Problem -
The engine seems to run great, but there is no propulsion. Can't get over 5MPH no matter the RPM's. This happened suddenly when out on the lake. I read around a bit and it seems the most common cause of this is a bad wear ring. So, that's what I am in the process of checking. However, I don't have alot of knowledge of PWC's.

I removed the impeller and everything around it to snap some pictures...

I thought the wear ring was supposed to be plastic? This appears to be just a solid housing around the impeller?
Can you tell from the photos if any pieces need replacement or maybe I misdiagnosed what my problem was?

    Any advice is appreciated.

Doesn't look too bad to me. Doesn't look like anything suddenly happened there to lose all propulsion. Maybe the intake is clogged up or the splines are stripped??
