    62t 701 raider died, no/weak spark

Rode it for the first time today and ran great. Towards the end of the day it was struggling off the line and didn't want to rev out, shortly after it died, tried it restart and got a couple stutters but otherwise nothing. Now it won't start at all. Checked and the bow cylinder has a VERY weak spark and the stern cylinder has no spark.

Any ideas? I guess I will pull the cover off the front of the motor and see what that looks like. The ski had ALOT of water in the hull when it stopped, higher than the bottom of the motor.

I haven't been able to get the flywheel off, will try to find a puller tomorrow. I opened the electrical box and it didn't look like water had ever gotten in there, everything was clean. I did all the ohm tests in the manual and everything appears to checkout. Any reason I can't I hook the coil up to my truck to test if it works?

I suspect either the coil or stator but the coil looks great and I suspect when I pull the flywheel the stator will be clean as well but who knows???

    EDIT:
did some voltage tests as described by someone on another site, here are the results:

CDI output---while cranking measured across orange and black- about 15v AC
Charge coil output--measured at brn/whi and black- 24-25v AC
Pulsar coil output---whi/red and black- 2.6v AC
    Overheat sensor is fine
Lighting coil output---grn to grn---while cranking- 2.7v AC
Each green wire shows resistance to ground

Checked with a craftsman digital multimeter.

pulled the flywheel this morning and as I suspected it looks perfect just like everything else. I will remove it and see if any of the wires are broken.

    Here's a couple pics
