I would think I should be making more speed after the upgrades

Afternoon guys. Few questions. I've added a X charger,Fizzle XS Intercooler, 42 lb injectors, Riva Grate and pump wedge, 15/20 re pitched to 14/19 (I think) prop, rear air kanaflex intake with pre filter and holes cut out under the grab handle for more airflow. I am getting 73.6 on the GPS at about 8150 RPMS. I think I should have a little more speed than this, not sure though. Not hitting the limiter and this was done this weekend with pretty much glass like conditions. I have noticed that it sounds like it is cavitating out of the hole shot and if there is a little chop it does this too. I've got the trim at about neutral. I've looked at my wear ring while the pump is on and it does not look like there is any kind of abnormal grooves in it and the is little clearance between the prop and wear ring. Just looking on advice on what I could try or change to see if I can get a little more speed out of it and stop some of the cavitating that it is doing easily. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I could do?

how do you know you are not on the limiter? Pretty sure 8150 is as far as a stock ECU will spin the motor.

You desperately need an rrfpr if your running at xcharger and a xs ic. That's part of your problem. You shouldn't have had to take that much pitch out of that prop.

Your RPM's sound about right. Rev limit is 8300. Try running your trim all the way up. I see my best speeds with the trim all the way up.

UMMM, the pre-07's are at 8300 as well with a soft limiter at 8200....

You need an RRFPR, you are running way lean if you do not have it....

Yeah I wouldn't risk running the ski till you get a rrfpr. Don't wanna blow that motor up from running it way lean

I have the same setup with a untouched 15/20 im 230 lbs water temp sunny florida 80 degree running 74.8. well until this weekend supercharger locked tighter than a fish pussy shut motor off. Impraying no internal damage as supercharger came out with shaft washers and gear intact as well as wheel with a little touchdown bearings froze up. good compression so far plugs good no milky oil or oil in coolant engine turns over fine with it out was only at 7900 rpm. I guess my point is I have a rrfpr at a base of 60lbs but did not have vacuum hooked up. ironically been running fine without a rrfpr but The noise I heard in recent runs must have been apparent now lol

I would order a new flywheel, gasket, and flywheel bolts. U would be REAL lucky if you didn't damage teeth on the flywheel. If u put a new charger in there with a bad tooth, it will eat up the new charger gear, and bearings very quickly.

    Ask Me how I know?!!
