Take an 8mm and remove all the bolts holding the assembly in place. Remove the vent, plug, and supply to the rail from the regulator. Pull the unit out slowly. It will be full of fuel. Be patient and it will all drain out. There are 3 prongs. Compress them and the whole pump will come out with the top. Don't forget to unhook the harness that goes to the fuel level float.

There are two filters, one on the bottom of the assembly, and one on the bottom of the fuel pump. Make sure everything goes back in the way it came out. Take pictures if you need to. It isn't bad once you get inside. Anything else just ask.

The actual filter is built into the factory regulator, and it's not replaceable. You also can't buy just the regulator without buying the entire full pump assembly, and thats over $500 bucks The two strainers on the lower pump housing are about the only things you can swap out for a reasonable cost.... unless you can find a used low hour regulator.

Yeah, it comes out. Just pull up and you will be good. BD is correct. I assumed that you were talking about the filter screens at the bottom.

Open glove box lid and compress the two tabs closest to the seay and pull out whole glovebox assembly.
