Factory Pipe Triple Pipes
I have a good opportunity to pickup a set of triple pipes for my 99 GP 1200, but they need to be welded. The guy selling them does not know which pipe needs to be fixed but I recall reading somewhere that Factory Pipe guarantees them and fixes them if ever needed. Will they still fix them for free if I am not the original purchaser? What is they have been modded, ie some of the welds have been cleaned up for better flow...

FP will not warranty them if they have been altered.
They may not have any stock in which to provide a replacement.
The pipes can be TiG welded.

So I am assuming these pipes are aluminum? Where abouts on the pipe would they need to be welded (would it be at one of the existing welds that cracked)?

These are a set of pipes that came off of PISTONWASH'S THUMPER. I bought these pipes from a friend planning on using on my 99' but never did. One pipe was cracked when he had them and send them to FPP for repair. I am not sure what they charged him, but they fixed it. Another pipe cracked and he sold the ski and just wanted to get these out of the garage. I am not sure what pipe is cracked, but I know FPP will fix them for a charge. I am sure that PISTONWASH grinded welds on these pipes.
