    new prop pitch

i know i have to repitch cause my rpms are too high, I am turning my 14/20 7310 rpms @ 70.2 mph in 78 degree weather(from the summer). as i dotn plan to do any winter riding what should i re pitch to? i still want good holeshot and top end.

what will this do just be better for the engine or will i see more overall performance? how many mph at wot?

    thanks

How is your holeshot now? No prop spin? You want to be 7100-7150 in the heat. You are spinning a 14/20 @ 7310.Your speed is a little low. There are several shops out there that can bend your prop.My guess would be a 14/21 maybe a 14/22.What is you average rpm in the heat?

You need to first send that prop out and have the pitch measured. Many of the stock otb 14/20's actually are pitched 13/19. Once you know what pitch you are turning now, you can pitch up from there.

I agree with Woody, that is to much rpm for that speed. My
box stock DF turns 7190 to 7210 at 74-75. What tach are you using?
Did Carl cut the trailing or leading edge of the prop?

tiny tach commercial, my ride plate is unmoded which i think is robing alot of speed, im getting it moded this winter. you can hold my ride plate at an angle and see a divit(sp?) in it. it goes down then back out again. so im thinking that it is robbing me of lot of speed.

The unmodded plate is surely robbing some speed but the rpms
would be down even further due to the increased wetted surface the
    plate creates.
