    Ultra 250X spark arrestor delete

Is the spark arrestor on Ultra 250s as restrictive as on the Yamahas? The SHO guys are deleting the spark arrestors and gaining 1 pound of boost. Not bad for 30 bucks! I can't find anyone who has done it on Ultra 250s and I can't find any kits or parts to do it. Anyone out there delete the spark arrestor?

I think what you are talking about is in the intake manifold on the Yamahas. The 300X has one in the exhaust manifold, not in the intake tract. It's for keeping water and moisture from getting back into the cylinder head and on your exhaust valves.

I think on the yamahas it's just before the super charger. On the older VX its on the intake manifold. Those things are very restrictive. I would think that Ultras have some sort of spark arrestors too.
