    Trailer Tire Not strait??

I just purchased a 2003 loadrite doubble trailer. Made a mistake of buying it at night figuring everything was fine with it. Next morning i'm looking at the trailer strait on and see an issue with the wheel. it seems a little bent going outwards. The person I purchased the trailer from says he used it and the tires showed no wear so I figured it was good to go.

Here is an example of what it looks like on the rear axle Click image for larger version.

** The bend on the tire is not that bad in reality, It might be only a few degrees, Could not draw it any better**

Is this something that could have an easy fix or is the axle ruined?

    thanks for the help

Take the tire off brace install the jack between axle and frame and start jacking until axle is straight.

I'm thinking about this right now and I cant figure something out. If I start jacking it up, wont the trailer just start to raise off the ground? I can understand how to only unbend the axle?

your not using the 5 ton jack to lift the trailer. You are wedging it between the frame and hub and straightening the axle. Use another jack to lift the trailer.

I'm sorry I am really not trying to sound like a noob, I'm not. But I just cant picture what your trying to explain. I don't know if it makes a difference or not but there is no ski's on the trailer. Does it need weight on it?

Take it to an axle repair shop or trailer shop.

Depending on what is bent the repair may be simple, or a new axle may be required.
