Thread: Vapor lock?

I have an 08 Wake Pro 215 with 15 hrs on it. I have always had it serviced and always stored in the garage and never beached. Took her out to the lake last weekend and it was pretty choppy. Took a break to go BBQ then got back on to ride she would only go 5 MPH.No codes were displayed. My bro in law was with me and he has had several sea doo's. He told me to screw the gas cap and retighten it since we were out in choppy water. It worked!! She ran just fine the rest of the day. What gives? Should I take it to the shop? Ever happen to anyone else?

Never experienced vapor lock on any of my watercraft....not even on my older 2 strokes.
I did on my old car 87' Isuzu Impulse Turbo.

Bad fuel tank check valve, you can replace it yourself or if its under warranty the dealer can fix it
