    R&D, RIVA for 260X

I have an '09 Ultra 260X, and was planing on doing some mods. I was looking at the R&D Ultra 250/260 Performer Kit for $1,159.47 or the RIVA 260X Stage I Kit for 2009 for $1,544.00.
I ride mostly in the Barnegat Bay in NJ and it gets rough at times.
I'm looking for some input on these kits, are they worth it?
I've done my share of searches and concensus is that Riva is faster but doesn't handle the rough very well, R&D handles better but it's slower.
I also considered just doing a ride plate and intake grate, or go cheap and just do the Wedge. Do I really need the Sponsons by any of these companies?
So as you can see I've researched way too much and now I'm confused. I've read that the wedge is a good Mod, but do I go with 1 degree or 2 degree wedge, does the 2 degree wedge interfere with the reverse gate?
I'm 250lbs so I don't think that some bow lift will hurt me that much.
I know I'm all over the place with this, but I just want to make the right decission.
Any help and guidance will be greatly appreciated.

WOW I remember those days. Here is my 2 cents worth. I would not get the kits. Look around and get different opinions of each product and just get it. Exhaust air intake and sponsons are not needed if you are just rec riding so save that money. Basically yes just get the plate and grate.
Let me ask a question now. What are your intentions with modding your ski? How rough will you actually ride in? This makes a difference on which direction you go also. Will you ride in some 6 foot rollers abut not in a 2-3 foot chop? I can say everyone has an opinion and the hard part is not all are the same so learn who to listen to. Heck my statement is only my opinion, I am sure some will say get the whole kit. Do a little homework and you will fine all you need..... I will help you take a shortcut though...

Thanks for your reply, no 6 footers planned, just chop here and there, I'm not going to race it (just with my buddies) so really just for recreational use, pulling a tube with my kids and enjoying my time on it. No engine mods, just what ever I can bolt on and get the most performance out of it and hopefully not get spanked as bad by my friends SHO.

If I were in your position this is exactly what I would do to my ski. If you want explinations why I would choose these products feel free to PM me. Others may and will have different opinions but this one is mine.... LOL
If you get these be sure you put the cupon code of greenhulk for the parts that get a discount.

In that website you gave me, they had concerns on the TBM adjustable grate, saying that the center foil came loose and sucked into the pump. Do you know if they have addressed this issue? So you recommend the TBM ride plate over R&D's and Riva's? I can't really find much information on that plate, could you elaborate a little on your experience with it?
I want to thank you again for being patient with me. Dave.
