gp1200r triples slow top end
i have a 2000 gp1200r that i took to the river to test it out and see how it would run i just put triple pipes on it it is ported and has jims plate and all stage 2 racing bolt ons cut r&D heads 165 psi compression and a 14/22 prop its turning 6500 rpms i rejetted carbs to 160 main and it is only running 65.8 mph its messed up what is wrong with it?

What ignition are you running? you are way low on the RRR''ss..

I've said before on another of your post. Your prop is way too big. Needs to be turning 7800rpm+
Also that is a huge main jet. I bet its way rich. But I would change prop first.

looks like im gonna have to run a 13/19 even though it was pretty fast with a 12/18

Why don't you start one thread and put everything for your build in there, that way we can keep track of what you have/have not done. No doubt about it, that prop is too tall. 13/19 Concord. Your RPM is down more than it should be though, even with a 14/22. You should be able to turn a 14/22 at 7500, I'd think. Ronn is right, the main jet is wayy big. I'm running a 160 in my 48 Novis, but that is because of the booster design. Are you sure the pipes aren't leaking? Did you do a pressure test on them? Compression sounds low, but it could be the gauge.

Make sure the parking brake isn't on also.... that gets me every time.
