01 RX overheat
So, I was running my RX for the first time this year which I had used last year okay. It had been stored outside this winter. I had not tested the cooling system before taking it out for the first time (lesson learned) and it gave a hi-temp warning about a minute after cranking it at the dock.
I took it back home and hooked a hose up and water is ONLY coming out the front port-side fitting. Nothing from the exhaust, thrust, or the CSI in the transom.
I read somewhere that insects can make homes when they are stored outside. I don't know for sure, that's just my guess at this point. I really can't afford another service trip, so…
Anyone have any good ideas about where to start looking for the clog? I have attached a couple of pages from the shop manual that I found online. Maybe I'm dense but they aren't helping me.
