    R&D transom plate mod

Looking to get some opinions and experiences on the R&D anti-cavitation transom plate modification for the FZR/S or SHO. Any thoughts appreciated.

I removed the transom plate and blended the edges with the pump tunnel as well as getting the transom properly sealed with some improvement in holeshot but I am looking for things to improve further with the R&D work as I have a spare transom plate.
Going to be running the mod with a 160 liner/prop setup and Stg 3 FZS

If you are going to run a 160mm liner it only makes sense to also bore the transom to 160mm straight through as well. Otherwise it's a bottleneck right before the water get's to your prop. I know a lot of racers do this mod.

I just did this mod to my transom. I did it myself, so might not get the exact results as with the R&D version, and I'm running a stock pump. But I did eliminate the lip on the transom and also sealed it all the way around. I'll be testing it out Wednesday or Thursday.

Wow, looks like you took a lot more off than I did. Even more than the R&D looks like they take off.
