I-Catch Trailer - Release cable problems
My release cable broke 1 month after the warranty expired. My dealer tried to get SeaDoo to fix it because the dealer said I should have received a "bulletin" about cable problems, which I never received. SeaDoo said too bad they sent the bulletin to all owners. I only know one other owner and he never received any "bulletin" either.
I ordered and received a new cable but it looks exactly like the original (I had heard it was made stronger) and no documentation. Iím hesitant to install it until I find out what the bulletin (if it exists) says.
Has anyone with an I-Catch trailer received anything about he release cable saying to do or not to do something to it?

I have that fix, The dealer installed it after my brand new ski rolled off the trailer on the way home. The dealer said it didn't need any rear straps.
The problem now is with the release cable breaking.

It was about $1800 out the door. It works great when it's working right. They released it before they got the bugs out of it. SeaDoo seems to do that a lot.

I think my dealer said theres a recall on the cable/latches too. I broke two of them before I decided to get a regular trailor.

Mine broke last August........thankfully at a major Seadoo event. The regional rep, John Foster, replaced it as the original was rubbing. These days, I put the ski in forward to take the strain off before I pull the handle. No problems since then. Hope you get it fixed.

The cable was about $54. I haven't put it on yet. The dealer says there is a bulletin out to add a kit to the release handle. He has some kits on order. I think the kit adds bushings on the pin that passes through the end of the cable so it can't move side to side.

The dealer replaced the release cable , installed the release handle kit and did the latch kit (safety cable on the front) on mine no charge. I guess I lucked out?
