2001 Polaris Virage TXi hard to start when hot

Recently I had to replace the bendix and starter on my 2001 Polaris Virage TXi. The ski ran great for 3 or 4 trips to the lake. Now it starts and runs great the when the engine is cold. After running it for 10-15 min it becomes hard to start. After it cools down for about 30 min it will start back up and run great until it is shut off then it is hard to start again. I am reading about 13-13.5 volts on the readout while riding but this varies with engine speed. Any ideas on cause?

    Several possibilities.

Does it continue to run properly if you do not shut it off?

Charging voltage should be fairly stable and around 14.5 volts when measured with a multi meter, not the MFI display. If charging voltage is not correct then the EMM may need repair or there may be a wiring or grounding problem.

Hard starting when warm could be the TPS, the EMM, or possibly the stator. Unplug the TPS when the problem occurs and see if it starts and idles.

Also check the EMM cooling water flow.

What exactly is it doing when it is hard to start?

Is it cranking at normal speed when you press start?
    Is it backfiring while cranking?

Spark present at the spark plugs while cranking?
    Fuel pressure correct while cranking?

If it has been sitting for more than five minutes when you press Start does the speedo needle go full sweep?

It cranks at normal speed when you press start.
    No backfiring
Spark present at the spark plugs while cranking

Fuel pressure appears to be about 20psi when start button is pressed
At first I thought I had a fuel pump issue so I removed the fuel pump and tested
with 12 volts direct to the leads. It ran and pumped fuel so I put it back together and the ski
ran fine until it warmed up and I shut it off. How much fuel pressure should I see? It really acts like it is not
getting any fuel but I know it is building some fuel pressure.

Speedometer goes for full sweep after sitting for 5 minutes

At this point the ski has not cranked and run for the last two days.

Also the charging system does not appear to be putting out more that 13 volts when checked with a multi-meter with the leads attached to the battery connections.

Check the voltage on white/red wires while cranking. Should be over 20 volts with all injectors plugged in.

And about 45 volts when engine is running.

Normal fuel pressure is around 23 PSI.

I disconnected each injector and checked voltage at the connector while cranking. I found just over 12 volts at each injector. Is that the correct way to check the voltage? Should I be seeing over 20 volts at each injector? If so this leads me to believe that I have a bad stator. This could explain why I am not getting fuel to the cylinders while cranking. If the voltage rises when the engine is running then I would not see a problem until I turn the engine off and try to restart it.

Is there another way to check the voltage without unplugging the injectors?

One meter probe goes to engine ground.

The other meter probe goes to any white/red wire, without unplugging any injectors. Just trace the white/red wires and find a place to tap into with the meter probe.

With all injectors plugged in I am getting about 10 volts on white/red stripe wire.
