P1544 Exhaust, wont start? Help Please!
Out riding today and the ski threw a 1544 and another code that i didnt catch. acted like somethin was in the prop so i started it back up and tapped the throttle to try to clear it while i was trying to make it back to the dock. then the ski shut off and wouldnt start again. loaded it up and took it home to take a look. tried to start start it again but acted like the battery was dead. the battery was very hot along with the engine. what would cause this and what should i do. im runnin a 2008 px with 60 hours on it.

Pull the pump and inspect it for debris. There may be something lodged between the impeller and wear ring.

Pulled the pump and I think I found the problem. Haha. Made the common mistake of letting an inexperienced rider pick up someone from shore. Obviously got a lil to close. Found 4 rocks in there, 3 of which were stuck in the prop. As you can see the wear ring is torn all to shit and the prop is a lil dinged up. So im thinkin a stainless wear ring and a 15/22r. Anything else i should look over, mabe the bearings in the pump?

Just replace with oem bro. You can have that prop repaired to if u like. Also inspect your sharks teeth.

ordered an oem wear ring. suggestions on who to send the prop to.
