    Difference in Gas usage ?

We have two identical GTX SCs. The wife's consistantly gets noticably better gas milage. She's even got a pretty heavy throttle finger, too. We'll ride the same ride together and her's will only use 2-3 bars on the guage while mine will be 4-5 down.

They each get the same tune up each Spring--new plugs, oil change (they are at the same level). The SC were rebuilt at the same time. Wear rings either rotated or replaced.

Difference in guage mechanism ? Mabye, but gassing them up after riding- mine always takes more for the same ride.

Her's will run 2MPH (gps) faster with ether of us on it, so its not my fat bum.

Suggestions on what else to check into ?

Have you measured how much you actually refill? maybe just gauge difference?

While on the trailer, slide underneath and compare the hulls. Does the slower one have more/deeper scratches? Scratches cause considerable drag. Check the impeller for nicks/dings. Check the wear ring for gouges. Good luck!

Well no two engines are the same, you can buy 2 new fans, and one will spin a revolution more than the other.
I think the way the engine is just operating saves up gas. The efi on them injects the NEEDED fuel and air
    Maybe hers just needs less?
And how many hours do they have? Maybe one is older and has more gunk buildup or has been "cleaned" inside by injector washes and ect.
Another diference is the equipment you carry, and if your running unneeded things on the ski? Say like you play with the trim, and may have adjusted to a less economic position?

Overall, who knows, could be older fuel( a cap doesnt screw on tightly so it lets more gas evaporate)

But think of it as being a normal thing in engines.
Id suggest cleaning out the ski, and take it for a ride with least weight possible, and check how many mph you get per say 5000rpm. And dont forget to have the same trim on both.
On the side note, maybe its the way you sit? Or you go in curves while your wife drives in a straight.
Maybe she holeshots, reaches needed speed, and keeps it there, while you constantly play around with your throttle?
And last suggestion.... Check how clean the airfilters are and airpassages.

Have you tried driving her ski, and she drives your ski to see if your ski still takes more gas. Try doing that for one ride.

+1, There's going to be a lot of variables to measure this. basically going to have to ride the two skis exactly the same and make sure they have the exact same amount of gas in them when you start.
