Don't plug it. Why would you want less oil?

Fit a Viton seal if you are worried obout the X hole causing seal leakage.

Correct!!!!DO NOT plug it...It was once thought that that hole was the issue to oil being sucked into the impeller side of the Scer so people would plug it...Now after time has gone by,and with the trial and error of some members on here,we have come to find that the front seal cannot take the heat of the new, bigger Scers and gets soft/weak do to the extra heat and allows oil to leak through..The correct fix for this is as Sayers had stated a front Viton Seal..you can find them here:

Your talking about the front seal correct??If it is stock then no there is nothing to do to it..you can replace the front seal if it starts to leak,if not then i wouldnt mess with it...Maybe at your next rebuild then replace it with a Viton
