Reached my 80mph
After more than a year I have finally reached my 80mph at altitude (4500 feet).
As my signature states, it took a big changer a lot of fuel, more RPM (8550) and some prop tweaking! The final result was 80.4mph at 8550 on a very cold morning with a 2/3 fuel tank. Water temp was 12 and the air was 6 degrees Celsius.
My last hurdle was the prop and some boost leaks I did not know about. Furthermore my throttle body did not open all the way!! These two faults cost me 3 mph!
Then after reading a lot of posts, testing playing this forum showed that it is certainly possible to get to 80 at altitude! I now need to bend another prop for sea level, as this one will hit the limiter so hard as is....
Thx again for all the assistance and the high quality products that are available on the Greenhulk site! Now maybe for 90 but my budget won't allow it
I would love to attend mudbug someday.....
