    Odi grip question ....

I'm trying to get a set of ODI Rogue grips...I need the ones with no flange because of the thumb throttle...but the flanged are 120mm and the no flange are 130mm ...can anyone tell me why, and if the 130mm will work? If I'm measuring correctly my stock grips are about 120mm...So do I need to get the flanged and just razor blade off a piece of the right one so the throttle won't interfere or will the non flanged 130mm work?

    99' GSX LTD.

    Thanks!

Since the flange is only on half the grip you can just twist the grip to the opposite side so it doesn't interfere with the throttle or flip them so the flange is on the outside.

I've been using the odi lock-on grips on my rxp for about 4 years now and love them. I've never had them come off once. The rouge grips are very nice, but my favorite are the ruffian mx pwc grips because of the half waffle(they only make them in 130mm though).
I've been kind of thinking about buying the new ODI/Troy Lee Designs signature grips.

Yea I saw the white and black ones of the Troy Lee...but all the ones I saw were also 130mm
I just ordered up the rogue 120's ...when I'm ready to upgrade the bars and throttle and all that I guess I'll have more options..can't wait to have the rogues instead of my stockers tho

I ordered the ODI Ruffian Grips for a 99 Seadoo XP Limited. The grips are nice but the amount of handle bar that is left is too short to reach to the end clamp on the grips. Will this be an issue or should 1 clamp be good to hold on to the bar without coming off while in use?

the stock plastic bar ends are weak , upgrade or go to local shop and get some aluminum ones.

I would not run with one clamp and 1"+ of grip not over metal.

You need to extend the bars an inch on each side to compensate for the extension built into the OEM grip.
-back in the day one of the canadian guys machined a plug that bolted into the xpl bar ends...but today..I would cut 1" blanks from an old OEM bars and weld them to the stock bars.

The Yeti grips are very good for skis http://www.odigrips.com/yetilock-ongrips130mm.aspx
