    A question for you all

A mid evening beer or three has got me thinking about something that bothers me in the current PWC market, and the market that has existed for the past few years actually.

What happened to lightwieght two seat runabouts??

I mean really...Listen I think this Kawi 250 is gonna be great, the thing looks like a beast. I think the Matrix was/is/coulda been amazing. But honestly, why has every remaining manufacturer either turned their two seaters into 800 pound monsters that are basically three seaters, or just given up on two seaters completely??? C'mon you guys, everybody on this board gets a woody for a fast SLX or a pro. I bet even an Ultra 150 gets people going.

Polaris even gave em up in the final years. I felt more left out to dry when Polaris quit making two seaters than I did when they quit making everything...............alright not quite, but you get the idea.

I think it's more about cramming as much horsepower in that confined space as possible whereas it used to be about power to weight ratio. Can you imagine a 250 horse power 400 pound ski? Plus all that added weight since they are doing 4 strokes now with the superchargers and all is what makes the ski's so much heavier, and I think at least the body styles have become larger to fit all those extra goodies. Personally, I prefer a little fast lightweight ski myself over one of those new style monsters, but tell that to the manufacturer's! Now, if somebody would offer me one of those new "monsters" at a reasonble price, I'm not saying I wouldn't take them up on the offer but point made! Nobody makes little standup's anymore? I thought there was at least a few lightweights floating around these days still in production...?

Well yeah, kawi and yamaha still make the stand ups, thats expected though. They started it all, and I think they will be there forever. But I miss the light sitdown missles.

That's why my youngest ski is 11 years old!

IMO, if it's over 600 lbs, it is a boat.
