    SeaDoo 787 RFI exhaust overheating

I have 2 GTX RFI skis that are burning the rubber coupler hose between the pipe and the water box. One is a '99 and the other is a '00. The skis have different owners. The water regulator seems to be working properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cliff

I have blown air through all of the fittings and the valve is moving. If you tighten the adjustment won't the valve stay open longer?
