best adhesive for pump tunnel reinforcement?

What is the consensus for doing a pump tunnel reinforcement? I have done a couple and seen a couple done. I have used Marine Tex and have seen people use 5200. What would be the best adhesive to use to do another?
    Thanks

I would say West Systems Epoxy.

Marine Tex & 5200(I would never use this) will get it done, but are not the best choices IMO. Marine Tex is thick stuff & I'd be worried that it wouldn't spread out well enough to fill in all the voids between the reinforcement & tunnel. 5200 is an adhesive sealant & not designed for use on anything structural. A 2-part epoxy is far too thin for the job & will likely make a big ass mess. If you want "the best adhesive", I'd use either Evercoat Maxim Medium Urethane Adhesive or 3M 8219. I've done several reinforcements with Evercoat which I chose because you don't need a special gun for it, but it's tricky because of the short working time. Bruce at Riva told me 8219 is basically the same stuff Yamaha uses to bond hulls together.

I know lots of guys on the forum have used MT & 5200 on reinforcements & have never had a tunnel crack, but I'd rather use a product that is designed specifically for the application.

Ive done about 30 reinforcements so far, and tried just about everything under the sun.

    I prefer marine tex
