    94 Polaris sl750

    Hey guys, just found this site today. Been working at an Auto/Marine shop for about a month now and need a little help. No spark condition on at 94 polaris sl750. I've read through the other posts and did the ohm testing and such. Coils check out, when I test the stator wires Red/White to Black and Red/Purple to Black, it should come out open, I get a reading in the Mega Ohms on both.. Shorted stator? Thanks guys/gals

    Welcome to the Hulk.

    I'm not familiar with testing those 2. My manual doesn't show them, so i cannot comment about your findings. How does the other readings stack up?

    Did you test the kill switch to see if it's grounding?

    How strong is the battery?

    Do you have a "GOOD" 750 CDI you can swap really quick?

    Very high ohms readings are equivalent to open circuit - not a problem.

    Make very sure the battery voltage is actually strong while cranking.

    Everything else tests out fine. Kill switch is grounded properly. Battery is strong, had a charger on it while cranking, I'll check the cranking voltage though. Unfortunately I don't have a good cdi box to swap in to test. Thanks

    Lanyard switch should ground the Black/Yellow wire only when the lanyard is not in place.

    When lanyard is inserted the switch should be open circuit to ground.
