spark plug gap on a 97 sl 900?

What is the correct gap on the NGK BPR8ES plug in a 97 SL 900? All my searches on the net say 0.028 in. but the Clymer W820 shop manual states 0.020-0.025 in. and the plugs come pre gapped to 0.028 in

    Either gap is close enough.

Most important is to have the correct spark plugs and good connection between plug cap and the end of the plug wire
