    95 sl 650 won't start

I am new to jet skis. I recently bought a 1995 sl 650. New plugs, new battery and getting spark. When I crank it everything seems in order but it won't fire. I tried some premix in the cylinders and still nothing.

It was used in Michigan on fresh water.

I was reading about it firing on the first cylinder only, the Mag cylinder??? I am not sure how that works?

Any suggestions on how I can get it to fire?

Check your grounding connections. Loose ground wire can cause NO spark when plug is in, and spark when plug is out. Try start it with one plug out see if it fires, if it does then your grounding is loose, be sure to ground that plug.
Check this link out (courtesy of K447) for more info on your engine:

To your firing question, all 3 plugs fire at same time.

    Welcome to the Hulk.

    What's your compression?

If you have fuel (premix down carb throats), spark (you say you have), all that's left is compression.

Pulled the carbs. Middle needle valve was gummed up and not moving well. Could that cause my problem??? I don't have a compression gauge yet so I can't check the compression?

Gummed up needles will not allow fuel to flow. But it doesn't explain why you couldn't start it after you poured fuel down the carb throats.

    WAIT!!!!!
Did you pour premix down the cylinders??? (through the plug holes)

    Or down the carb throats?????

Check compression AND timing as noted then.

It fired! But gas mixture came out of the rear end. Is this due to gas leaking into the cylinders when not running?
