Thread: Decent Deal?

How does this GP1300R look? I bought my 2000 1200R with a double trailer and 45 hours on it for only $3,500, so I'm not really sure what a good price is on one of these. It says it has 46 "miles", which I assume is actually hours...
Since there is no mention of a trailer and one is not pictured, I assume one is not included. Makes me think $6k is a little high. What are your thoughts?

It looks like the trailer would be extra. My guess is its bone stock. I wouldn't offer any more than $4500 for it. And even at that, I'd try to work a trailer in the deal.

I'm with Chad, no more than $4500.

Thanks for all of the replies guys.
What else should I ask?? Only thing I can think of is if is has had the throttle cable recall (or is that recall not applicable to the '06?

Throttle cable recall is applicable for all. It's just a small plastic zip tie holder with a zip tie in it to hold throttle/oil cable off exhaust . They weren't interested in haggling so I found a great deal on craigslist from a member on this forum for 5K that had lots of stuff. Have u ck'd out the classifieds? I doubt they will drop to that price but never hurts to ask. Good luck

for comparison we just bought a 2006 Yamaha gp1300r and a 2005 Yamaha gp1300r with a few scratches and a double trailer for 8,000, they have around 75 hours on them but were never ridden in salt water so i feel that we got a great deal.
look on ebay to see comparisons for yours, probably without a trailer i wouldn't pay more then 5,000

Seems like it might have been sold... PWC Trader link is gone, and all the pics and description on there website are as well.
I found another one though. This one is a 2004 with ~136 hours. They are asking $5,000 (w/ trailer I would presume), which definitely is on the expensive end comparing to what all you guys have gotten.
If I can talk them down to $4,000, that sound like a good deal?
