Finally! 10 hrs on the 06 RXP
I rode the last 2 hrs of the "recommended" 10 hr break-in today.
At 8 hrs I was seeing 67.5 @ 7950-8000 rpm at best. Today was better.
It started off at 8.5 hrs
The only mod so far was the standard Opas BO kit.
today was 80 degrees in SoCal
calm water @ 62 degrees at elsinore
elevation 1250 above
With full tank 68.2 @ 8050-8100 rpm at 2 clix above neutral. that seemed to be the best spot.
9.5 hrs & 1/2 tank I was stuck on 68.6 with a few 68.7 blips @ a sustained 8050 rpm
10.5 hrs & last run with 1 bar on the guage 69.1 sustained & a few 69.2's @ 8050 rpm.
My last time riding before today was up to 8.5 hrs, 67.5 @ 7950 rpm with the opas still on & a full tank, so I gained .7 mph with the standard cheaper RR block offs.
The ski really woke up after the 9hr mark with A little more mid thrust & top end as well as rpms. I'm very impressed with the way it finally came around because I was a little discouraged about the 67.5's & under 8k rpm I was seeing at 8.5 hrs.
One thing about the B/O kit. It gave the ski the feeling like someone was on the back seat shifting around at times. Nothing too much but it was an unsteady feeling that I got used to.
I'll fill the ride plate holes tonite.
After the oil change & checkup is done I'll be good to go.
I have a 2.0 wedge & vts extension kit to go on next.
Then the riva 3" air intake
then the props........13/18 3 blade & impros 14/18.5 concord
Then finally the Riva intake grate. Or should I do the grate before the props?
I also have the SS washers too so I guess i'll toss those on after the final mod is done
I'm hoping to make the senators wash run this weekend & if osidebill still has that prop i'll try that too.
If all goes well I should see 72+... you think?

I have all the mods on hand just waiting in line to go on.
I wanna do a piece at a time to see the results they give individually.
Haha, everytime I get a package in the mail my wife asks with one eyebrow raised....what now? All I can do is give the tim allen tool time look..Uuurhhh?
I had to lay it down for her in "ski to car" terms
Props = tires for the car, better handling
3" intake = drop in K&N for her accord, better air flow/response
Riva grate = rear spoiler for her accord, better grip at hi speed
BSD = bug deflector, deflects debris
I couldn't come up with one for the wedge...so I went.... ,Tim allen style, Ooohhhh, errr, I dunnoooo...ahh ahhh!

You need to talk to Joe this weekend about his blockoffs...
Those standard blockoffs give the ski a nasty jittery feeling.

OU812, Great #s! If the water is smooth you might squeeze a 73 out of her! My ski really has no side to side kick at all and it handles rough water turns very well. Most Rxps dont leave you comfortable in rough water turns. It should be a very interesting weekend comming up.

Congrads,on your new toy.
I would leave the stock prop on untill you break 73.5.
You will also see a big gain at 18 hrs.
I have been called a Yamadude, but few know I have over 250 hrs next to and aboard an Rxp and 130 hrs on an Rxdi.
Everyone is in awe of the new Ultra, but there is little room in my life for a 133 inch ski regardless of how fast it is. If I rode in the ocean or a rough lake the Ultra would be for me. I ride Corner to corner in shallow water and have seen the new Rxp that is coming.
Plus, my wife is hot and chicks love Seadoos ?
