    New Member Showing off Ride

Been reading the posts on this site for a while, finally decided to join and show off my ride. Im not sure what to call it exactly....92 Pro SLX 650/750???! Its a mix of a few models, haha. It was an original 92 650 we bought with a burnt engine in 93. After a simple rebuild, we ran the ski original till around 01 when we decided to put a pipe kit on it. Ran it for a while with just the pipes, but after toasting a cyl on that motor, it was time to go all out. Got a fresh gelcoat on the bottom hull and the new paint job. All done by my father and I. It is now the original 650 block, with 95 750 jugs, ocean pro head, 96 SLX extended pump and carb set, Pro 785 rideplate, intake grate, sponsons and throttle, with the PSI triple pipe setup. Went from a stock speed of 45-46 to close to 60. Have yet to dial it in all the way and get some accurate speeds.

Thanks everyone. Yes its pretty fun. I love the small hulls of the Polaris's. Its not quite like the Pro 785s, but has close to the same sound. Cant turn the RPM of the Pro though. Ill try to get some pics of my dads ski on here as well, he has a 02 Virage with a MSX motor and triple pipe set-up. Last check was 74 mph, but he's added and tweaked a few things. Reaching for 80!!

    Very nice

Be sure to get your Dad signed up on here too. Always good to see what others have been up to, and share ideas.

    Welcome to the Hulk

80 mph on a Virage hull

Be sure to manage pump tunnel pressures - you sure don't want to overstuff the pump at those speeds.

Hull stability might also get tricky What ride plate is on that Virage?

Its a stock TX hull, 28" sponsons, and pretty sure stock ride plate. Its been a while since Ive dealt with the ski and I know he's been doing some more mods, so I may be way off. It did for sure hit 74 with the Hot Seat Performance kit. I think it was pipes, domes, cdi module that was in the kit, also hat 44mm carbs and some experimenting with impellers and pump. Stabilty was fine then, but another 5-6 mph at that speed can make a big difference. If stability is the worst of the problems with that many mods, I think we'll be happy!!
